Dawit Assefa

Dawit has a B.S. degree from Virginia Tech University and a Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (M.A.O.M.) from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA) in Austin, TX. Dawit is trained in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Therapy and Asian Body Work. He is licensed and board certified in Acupuncture in the state of Virginia. He is also board certified in clinical herbal medicine. Dawit treats many conditions, but specializes in gynecological disorders including infertility.

Dawit has been practicing for over 16 years and is a former fellow with the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). For many reasons like age, hormonal imbalance, unhealthy lifestyle, other pre-existing health issues and stress many women and men are having trouble with infertility. Dawit addresses all of these issues when working with infertility. Furthermore, Dawit uses Acupuncture & Chinese Herbs to help women regulate their cycles and resolve issues like endometriosis, PCOS, PMS/PMDD, PID and much more. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is very effective in treating women's health issues and that is why using this approach is beneficial to getting pregnant. Dawit knows that an unhealthy lifestyle will slow down the healing process so he incorporates lifestyle counseling into his sessions.
